Many people considering a cosmetic procedure will have heard of Liposuction. Vaser Liposuction is a similar procedure but is much less invasive, with a quicker recovery period. Think of it as an advanced body contouring procedure which selectively removes unwanted body fat. It can be targeted head to toe and once complete, will reveal a sleek new shape which you could show off in as little as seven days.

Many people opt for this procedure because, despite rigorous diet and exercise, some areas of the body are simply predisposed to fat storage. Even religiously sticking to a gym routine or taking drastic measures such as cutting out all carbs and sugars may not be enough to banish those unwanted fatty deposits.

We have the very latest Vaser Lipo system. This differs quite significantly to what you may think of liposuction as being. Traditional liposuction is much more invasive overall and is often a more serious procedure. We use state-of-the-art ultrasound technology, which means the treatment is very different to a traditional procedure, and offers patients much greater benefits.

It is performed under a local rather than general anaesthetic. This means you will be awake during the procedure and as it’s a local anaesthetic only, you won’t feel the after-effects of general anaesthesia or require an overnight hospital stay.

Vaser lipo is less expensive than traditional treatment options. As this system uses ultrasound technology, it’s a more advanced procedure and a much gentler one. It is very safe with a very low incidence of side effects or complications.

Because it is less invasive, the recovery time is also quicker and some people return to work as early as the very next day. You’ll get the added benefit of skin tightening.

All of our Vaser procedures are performed by Dr Siddiqi, with a nurse present. We’re here to make you feel totally at ease and will meet with you ahead of the treatment being carried out at a free consultation to explain more about the procedure, discuss suitability and answer any questions you may have.

On the day of your treatment, you will be required to change into a theatre garment and before the procedure, will have a picture taken (for your records only). We’ll weigh you and the areas to be treated will be marked. You will be given a mild sedative and an antibiotic. Anaesthetic will be injected into the small areas where tiny incisions will be made. Through these incisions a cannula (thin metal device) will be introduced under the skin to infiltrate the area with local anaesthesia. Once the anaesthetic is finished, the Vaser Lipo cannula is inserted in the same incision sites. The ultrasound gently melts away fatty tissue on contact whilst preserving other important tissues. Finally, the liquefied fat is removed with gentle Suction.

After the procedure, a compression garment will be applied to the treated area. You will be discharged home with a course of antibiotics and a helpful advice sheet. A nurse will review and follow up with you as part of our aftercare process over the next 1-2 days.

Fat dissolving injections are suitable for those with small, stubborn pockets of fat under the chin, abdomen, flanks or thighs. It’s not a weight-loss solution but great for targeted contouring. At Second Look Medical Group, we assess your concerns to tailor a safe and effective plan.

The amount of product needed for Masseter Botox can vary depending on the individual’s facial structure, muscle strength, and desired outcome. On average, most clients require 20–30 units per side (so 40–60 units in total).

This can vary slightly depending on whether the treatment is for jawline slimming, bruxism (teeth grinding), or tension relief. At Second Look Aesthetics, we always tailor the dose during your consultation to ensure safe, effective, and natural-looking results.

This treatment takes around 30 minutes to complete. This includes a consultation so that we can gain a better understanding of the results you are hoping to achieve and any concerns that you have. Following this, we will recommend the appropriate number of masseter Botox treatments for optimum results and administer the treatment.

It will take around 14 days for you to see the full results of your treatment. In some cases, we recommend repeat treatments to further shrink the masseter muscle, dependent on how large it is initially.

Your results after the application of Botox in Nottingham will last 5-6 months. This will vary depending on the individual client, as someone with a stronger muscle will find they do not last as long, while someone with a weaker muscle may find they last longer. The more treatments that you have, the longer your results will last as the muscle gradually weakens over time.

This masseter Botox treatment is virtually completely painless. You may feel a slight scratch during injection, however as the area being treated is not sensitive any pain will be very minor. Most clients find they do not need numbing cream for this treatment; however, we can numb the area if preferred to make you more comfortable.

Filler smooths the lines and restores support to the lower face, lifting the mouth corners. You’ll notice immediate softening of shadows and a fresher expression. Some swelling or tenderness may occur temporarily.

At Second Look Aesthetics, we use Juvederm and Revolax for Marionette Lines treatments.

This depends entirely upon the depth of the lines which you are seeking to disguise. A client with deeper lines would require 1-2ml per side, while someone with faint lines may only require 0.5ml on each side. We can recommend the appropriate amount for you during the consultation stage of your appointment.

This treatment takes around 20 minutes to complete. This includes a consultation so that we can gain a better understanding of any areas of concern and establish an effective treatment plan for marionette lines in the East Midlands. Following this, we will recommend the appropriate amount depending on the depth of the lines, numb the area and administer the treatment.

Your results will last 9-12 months. This will vary depending on the individual client, as someone with a fast metabolism will find they do not last as long, while someone with a slower metabolism will find they last longer. The enzyme used breaks down unwanted filler safely and effectively. The area may feel tender or look swollen briefly. Full resolution is visible within a few days, and further treatment can follow if needed.
